Now that it is deep midwinter and I am forcibly removed from my workshop, time passes rather slowly, so I have gone back to earlier efforts and added a page of build snaps from my Oughtred MacGregor canoe build (here). ‘Scotch Mist’ is built to the original design, Iain has since reworked the design for one less plank and fuller bow and stern to produce a more buoyant hull. If you are thinking of building a Mac I would strongly recommend the revision, slightly quicker to build with a more ’seaworthy’ hull. I would suggest contacting Iain direct for the latest plans.
