Polly’s Folly was my third invovement with boatbuilding. She is a Selway Fisher Highlander 14 with a modified bow. Stitch and Tape build method and the result sheathed in epoxy glass for abrasion resistance. Looking at her the words ‘Silk Purse’ and ‘Pigs ear’ carry a certain resonance. This one I am not well pleased with, she was too big for the local launching facilities, unfortunately the European RCD means I cannot even give her away for at least 5 years from completion! Those five years are now up so if anybody wants her she is available – at least the sails are first class, from James Lawrence of Brightlingsea.
